3/4" Wematic Hand Hog Ring Tool
The Wematic is the hand tool we reach for when the job calls for 3/4" rings and there's no air line in sight. Load a strip of collated taped rings, squeeze the grip, and it closes a clean, uniform D-ring around wire, mesh, or netting — one after another, no compressor, no setup.
It's built for trap building, repair, oyster bag assembly and netting installation. The retracting nose gets into tight corners where a bulkier tool won't reach, and the stainless steel components hold up to saltwater exposure the way anything on a working boat or dock has to.

Recreational Aquaculture
Our recreational gear is made from the same commercial-grade materials but is designed for ease of use without specialized equipment.
Grow-out bags come pre-assembled—simply attach floats and add oysters.
For best results, choose oyster seed that is at least 1.5 times larger than the mesh size.
For example, a 14 mm bag should be used with oysters that are at least 21 mm.

Growth time depends on water temperature, flow, and food availability. In warmer regions like the Gulf, oysters can reach market size in as little as 8 months. In colder regions like northern Maine, it can take up to 4 years.
Commercial Traps
We build lobster, crab, eel, and fish traps.
We stock several standard traps (including seabass, scup, eel, green crab, and blue crab). For custom trap orders, we typically require a minimum of 25 units.
